I have prepared and tested [off the air] files that should allow TR4W users to participate in the SD QSO Party. The SD.DOM, SD_CTY.DOM, S48-SD.DOM AND S-AKHI.DOM files should be placed in the [DOM] directory. Create a folder in your [TR4W] directory named [2012 South Dakota QSO Party K0TO] (use your call not mine) The SD QSO PARTY(in state).CFG and SD QSO Party(outstate).CFG files should be copied into this new directory. Start TR4W to get the the Setup window. In the setup window look in the left hand side sub window for the folder you just made, 2012 [South Dakota QSO Party K0TO] (remember it should have your call) click on that folder an d you will see a choice of South Dakota QSO Party(instate) and South Dakota QSO Party(outstate), Click on the one that applies to you. The TR4W program will open. Then go to the Files Menu and select "Open log directory".That will open to show the two .CFG files. Select the one you intend to use and click on it. The .CFG file you selected will open in a text editor. Now you can insert your call replacing all the places that my call exists. Change the MY QTH = statement to be your state or province or DX prefix if you are out of state and county if you are in state. Save your work and close the file. Then exit from TR4W. Now start TR4W again and again select the folder and .cfg file for the South Dakota QSO Party. This time your call and state, province DX prefix or county will be the one that gets used. You should see your call on the title bar of the Main Window. Check the default Multiplier window to see that you have the correct multipliers. You should check the CW messages with , O and be sure that the state, province, DX prefix or county you are going to send is correct. If you want to see slashed zeros in your log copy the file luconsz.ttf and store it in the [TR4W] directory. It will automatically recognized by the program and every zero in a call sign will be a slashed zero. Please report any problems to me at tod@k0to.us Tod, K0TO
